We take you to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital, the lost citadel of Machu Picchu, the mythical Sacred Valley of the Incas, Puno and the spectacular Lake Titicaca, Arequipa and its colonial architecture.

Transfer to Lima airport to take the flight to Cusco. Airport pick-up and transfer to the hotel where we'll get time to rest so our bodies can adjust to the altitude. Free afternoon, we recommend resting and eating light. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, we gather to depart at 08:30 by foot with our tour guide. We start at the Plaza de Armas (main plaza) of Cusco and make our way to the San Pedro market where we come into contact with the tastes, colors and typical aromas of the Andes. We then take a private car to visit the Inca ruins in the surroundings of the city: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Afterwards we drive to Pisac, famous for its colorful artisan crafts market and archeological complex, a demonstration of Inca architecture of large walls and towers, all made with polished blocks of stone cut to fit together tightly without mortar. Arrival in Urubamba, some rest time. Night at the hotel.
Pick-up from hotel in the Sacred Valley and begin to pedal towards Huayllabamba, to then arrive in Urquillos: a beautiful ravine located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here flows the Kullu Chaca, a creek that descends from the heights of Chinchero and flows into the Vilcanota river. Currently, Urquillos is known as the producer of the best corn in the world, thanks to the climate in the area and the quality of the soil. Here we can appreciate a wonderful system of Inca terraces that are in full operation. We can also observe the foundations of Inca temples under beautiful colonial houses that are still inhabited today, in large part by the descendants of these colonial families. We continue our cycle through the path to Huycho to return to the hotel.
We pick you up in the morning from your hotel in The Sacred Valley to go to Via Ferrata Sacred Valley where we climb a 400m rock appreciating the incredible view of the Sacred Valley. Lunch at the Sky Lodge, a delicious one, above the marvelous Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, with the best view of this magical place!
The descent is done by zip-line, at full speed, always with the adequate safety equipment. The guide will continuously help to secure us. A short half hour walk will lead us to the first of 7 zip lines: the cables go from 150 to 700 meters long, for a total of 2800 meters in descent. You can choose to descend by Via Ferrata or zip-line only. Night at your Hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Today, with our tour guide and private transport, we course through the mythical "Sacred Valley of the Incas" to discover one of the most beautiful and magical places in Peru. We visit Moray, ancient and wonderful biological lab of the Incas; Maras, impressive salt mines embedded in a beautiful landscape, which have been in operation for over 1000 years; and Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that is still inhabited today and is an extraordinary model of urban planning. In the afternoon we ride the train to Aguas Calientes to begin our Machu Picchu adventure. Night at the hotel.
At dawn we embark on a dream. We take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and enter the "lost city." For the more adventurous there is the possibility to hike to the summit of Wayna Picchu. In the afternoon we take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, and then the bus to make our way back to Cusco. Night at the hotel.
Free day to walk around the beautiful city of Cusco. Some must-see sites that we recommend: The Cathedral at the Plaza de Armas; MAP (Museum of Pre-Columbian Art); Qoricancha - The Temple of the Sun; and the quaint neighborhood of San Blas. In the evening we go on a cultural and alternative walking tour. Strolling under the stars through the historic center of the city, we discover a less-known side of Cusco: myths, legends, tales, ghosts and saints. A unique experience to see the true Cusco, iconic city of Peru. Night at the hotel.
5.30 am departure from Cusco bound to discover the Rainbow Mountain at 5200m above sea level, located in the heart of the Vilcanota mountain range, the most extensive in the planet (7000km). This area is widely visited by those who wish to see up close one of the most famous “Apus” of the mountain range: Ausangate, a 6372m glacier.
After around 3 hours of trip by car we will reach the point of beginning of this trekking. We will walk for about three hours up to reach the Colored or Rainbow Mountain where we can rest and enjoy the sight for about a hour. Then return to the departure point and return to Cusco at about 7pm. Night in the Hotel.
08:45 pick-up from your hotel in Cusco to go in the direction of the Urubamba river (approximately 1 hour and 15min by car).
During the ride and once we have arrived at the river, the guide gives us instructions on how to handle the equipment, the characteristics of the river, etc. Once we have all our gear on (lifejacket, helmet) we are ready to go in the river. We first practice rowing, and then we face class 2 and 3 rapids for about two and a half hours. In the afternoon, after lunch, we return to Cusco arriving at around 17:00. Night at your Hotel.
We get picked up at 06:15 from the hotel and begin our journey towards the city of Puno. The comfortable touristic bus (includes heating, air conditioning, chemical bathroom, DVD, on board service, and buffet lunch in Sicuani) will make a series of stops during the journey: Andahuaylillas, Rajchi, and Pukara. Pick-up from the bus station in Puno. At night, between 19:00 and 20:00, we meet with a PeruEtico team member. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, at 07:30 we go to the port to embark on a boat for a tour on Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake. We'll visit the floating islands of the Uros located north of the Puno bay, followed by a stop at Taquile, the lake's largest island. We disembark on the north part of the island and from there we make our way to Huayllano. The families of Huayllano lead us in our discovery of the uses, customs and ancient traditions of the island. A native family will host us and, as their guests, we are invited to wear their typical attire and live like a member of the community for one night. Dinner and night stay with our host family.
After breakfast we explore the bay, the beach and a few archeological sites. Walk to the village of Taquile where we enjoy lunch, and then descend to the port to get back to Puno with an estimated arrival at 18:00. Night in Puno.
Free morning, ideal to autonomously visit the funeral complex of Sillustani. In the first afternoon transfer to the station of the buses and trip to Arequipa. Pick up to the arrival and night at your Hotel.
Free day in Arequipa, "The White City." Some things you cannot miss: Santa Catalina Convent, Museum of mummy Juanita, and the delicious traditional dishes of local cuisine. Night at your Hotel.
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima and connection with the intercontinental flight.

Machu Picchu: Passengers must take to Aguas Calientes luggage for only two days and one night. Due to train restrictions, please only take a backpack or carry-on size luggage that weighs no more than 5kg. The rest of your luggage should be left in storage at the hotel in Cusco or Urubamba.
