In Peru you can eat delicious food, this country is a true gastronomic paradise: vibrant flavors, Asian and European influence that mix with local, top quality ingredients. We discover places only known to locals, places that are true hosts of Peruvian cuisine, and restaurants in each area of the trip to enjoy a little bit of everything: Ceviche and Tiradito (raw fish), Causa, Pachamanca, Chicha, Rocoto relleno, Guinea Pig... a delicious trip. Gastronomic tour of Lima. We go to the colonial center of the city, and as we walk through this historic area we taste typical Peruvian dishes, delicious and rich in gastronomic tradition. We visit the Gastronomy Museum and taste some dishes in a historic restaurant of the capital, traditional and bohemian, famous for its appetizers. Dinner on your own, night at the hotel.
Second day to continue to discover Lima's cuisine. Today we sightsee modern Lima in the neighborhoods of Barranco, Chorrilos and Miraflores. We can see, accompanied by our tour guide, the notable contrasts that characterize the Latin American metropolis. Our lunch is seafood based (fresh fish), an emblem of Peruvian cuisine worldwide. We go to one of the best seafood restaurants in the city, for a tasting gourmet lunch that will be hard to forget. Free afternoon, night at the hotel.
After breakfast, at 07:30 we go to the port to embark on a boat for a tour on Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake. We'll visit the floating islands of the Uros located north of the Puno bay, followed by a stop at Taquile, the lake's largest island. We disembark on the north part of the island and from there we make our way to Huayllano. The families of Huayllano lead us in our discovery of the uses, customs and ancient traditions of the island. A native family will host us and, as their guests, we are invited to wear their typical attire and live like a member of the community for one night. Dinner and night stay with our host family.
After breakfast we explore the bay, the beach and a few archeological sites. Walk to the village of Taquile where we enjoy lunch, and then descend to the port to get back to Puno with an estimated arrival at 18:00. Night in Puno.
After breakfast, we gather to depart at 09:00 and take a private car to visit the Inca ruins in the surroundings of the city: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Afterwards we drive to Pisac, famous for its colorful artisan crafts market and archeological complex, a demonstration of Inca architecture of large walls and towers, all made with polished blocks of stone cut to fit together tightly without mortar. Arrival in Urubamba. Night at the hotel.
At dawn we embark on a dream. We take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and enter the "lost city." For the more adventurous there is the possibility to hike to the summit of Wayna Picchu. In the afternoon we take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, and then the bus to make our way back to Cusco. Night at the hotel.
Free day to walk around the beautiful city of Cusco. Some must-see sites that we recommend: The Cathedral at the Plaza de Armas; MAP (Museum of Pre-Columbian Art); Qoricancha - The Temple of the Sun; and the quaint neighborhood of San Blas. In the evening we go on a cultural and alternative walking tour. Strolling under the stars through the historic center of the city, we discover a less-known side of Cusco: myths, legends, tales, ghosts and saints. A unique experience to see the true Cusco, iconic city of Peru. Night at the hotel.

Machu Picchu: Passengers must take to Aguas Calientes luggage for only two days and one night. Due to train restrictions, please only take a backpack or carry-on size luggage that weighs no more than 5kg. The rest of your luggage should be left in storage at the hotel in Cusco or Urubamba.
